KERRY HOSPICE FOUNDATION: The Annual Good Friday Walk will take place on
Friday, 25th March, starting from The Castle Gates at 11.00am. Sponsorship

EASTER EVENTS: The Lawlor/Mulvihill/Clashmealcon Martyrs’ Sinn Féin Cumann
are holding two events to commemorate 1916. On Saturday Evening, assemble
at Lacca Cross, Ballyduff at 6.15 and proceed to monument in The Square. On
Easter Monday, assemble at Roger Casement Memorial, Ballyheigue at 2 pm for
wreath-laying ceremony.

CONRADH NA GAEILGE would like to thank people for supporting our recent

COMMUNITY GAMES: Another great achievement by our very own Shauna Casey who
won another Gold Medal in model making last weekend. Fantastic work and
well done. Best of luck to our U-13 girls’ indoor soccer team who play
Easter Monday and to all competing in table quiz on Good Friday, good luck

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Sunday’s GAA Lotto:
3-6-17-19. The Jackpot of €2,950 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot will be
€3,000.The two €50 winners were: Joan Leen, Church Road and Peter
Fitzgerald, Heirhill. The €25 winner was Mary O’Regan, Marian Park,
Ballyheigue.

MANY THANKS: The Ballyheigue GAA Club wish to thank Sean Casey & CTS
Construction for very generously presenting a set of Training Bibs to the
Club at the recent Social. The Club wish Sean & CTS Construction every
success in their new business.

GAA Membership: The closing date for membership of the Ballyheigue GAA
Club is the 31st March 2016. All members’ names must be at Croke Park by
that date. Contact any Club Officer.

REFEREES TRAINING COURSE: The Kerry County Board will be running a
training course for new referees on the following dates – March 23rd, 29th
and 31st. All clubs are asked to provide as many people as possible.
Venue location at a later date. Contact Club Officers.

FIXTURE: Co. Senior hurling league Division 1, Ballyheigue v Causeway at
Causeway Sunday 2.30pm.

KERRY HURLERS: Well done to the Kerry Senior Hurlers who gave a tremendous
display to defeat Offaly at St Brendan’s Park on Sunday in the N.H.L. full
time score Kerry 2-18 and Offaly 2-17. The Ballyheigue Club was
represented on the team by Philip Lucid.

COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 14th March
in the Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto: 1-6-13-26. Jackpot was
not won. The €50 winner was Angie McElligott, C/o Pat. The €25 winners
were Geraldine Lee, C/o Flahive’s; Donal Mulvihill, C/o Christina and Sean
Mahony, C/o Macs. Next week’s Jackpot €3,600.

DEATH; The death occurred during the week of Margaret (Peggy) Godley (neé
Lynch), Dromature and late of Clahaneleish, Ballyheigue. Reposing at
Hartnett’s Funeral Home on Thursday 17th March, followed by removal to St.
Mary’s Church, Ballyheigue. Requiem Mass on Friday 18th March followed by
burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballyheigue. R.I.P. Sympathy is extended to
her family, daughters Catherine and Patricia; sisters Joan and Noreen,
brothers Brendan and Pat Joe, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives
and friends.

BEACH CLEAN-UP: The annual Beach clean upon Good Friday 25th March at
11.00am assembles at the Life Guards Hut. Hoping for a large turnout of
young and old to preserve this glorious asset.

The annual Parish clean up on Saturday 2nd April. Bags and gloves can be
collected at the Post Office from 25th March. Can everyone who did their
area last year do the same area again this year. Thank you.

HOLY WEEK CEREMONIES: Holy Thursday: 7.30pm Mass, washing of feet and
adoration in Adoration chapel until Night Prayer at 11.45pm. Perhaps the
Adoration Group might make Holy Thursday, 8.30 to midnight their monthly
period of Adoration and come at different times.

GOOD FRIDAY: 3.00pm Celebration of Passion and Death of Jesus: Veneration
of the Cross. Private Stations of the Cross.

HOLY SATURDAY: 8.00pm Easter vigil Mass, Easter Fire, Easter Water, Easter
Candle. “Christ is Risen, Alleluia”.

CONFESSIONS FOR EASTER: Wednesday – after 10,00am Mass. Holy Thursday –
after Holy Thursday Ceremonies. Good Friday – after 3.00pm Ceremonies and
throughout the afternoon.
