ST. JOSEPH’S NATIONAL SCHOOL: On Thursday June 30th Bouleenshere National
School will bid farewell to our Principal, Mrs Eileen Galloway. This will
be a very special occasion for the school. We would like to invite past
pupils, parents, friends and neighbours to join us on the day at 10.00am
for a retirement Mass and to wish Eileen well in the future. Looking

Tuesday, 12th July, St Mary’s/Holy Family Cemetery 7.30pm – please note
change of date. Friday, 15th July, St. James’ Old Cemetery 8.00pm.

THE IRISH WATER SAFETY: will run the following courses: Enquiries

July11th to 15th in Ballyheigue – swimming classes for school-going
children.

July 18th to 23rd at Meenagohane Pier – Water safety classes.

‘CUAN MHUIRE’ HILL WALK: The Organisers of the hill walk have this year
chosen Ballyheigue on Saturday 25th June 2016 as the location for the
annual Walk It will commence from the Ballyheigue Community Centre to
Kerryhead along the North Kerry Way and returning to Ballyheigue Community
Centre where refreshments will be provided. Registration on the day
between 8.30am-9.30am at the Community Centre. €20 per adult and family
€50 (2 Adults (max) and children under 16yrs). Pre–registration recommended

<hillwalk@cuanmhuire.ie>* Walkers will be setting off at 9.30am. It is the
50th Anniversary of Cuan Mhuire Ireland’s largest provider and treatment
for those suffering from addiction and related illness.

CHANGES IN SUMMER SCHEDULE OF MASSES: because of the extra Mass in the
Community Centre, the shortage of Priests, and the impossibility for one
Priest to say 10.45am Mass in Church if there was a funeral followed by
prayers at graveyard and be back for 12 noon Mass – the following changes
are necessary beginning in JULY –

Saturday Evening, 7.30pm – Mass in Church

Sunday Morning, 10.00am – Mass in Church

Sunday Morning, 12.00 noon – Mass in Community Centre.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED: Volunteers wanted with some Computer/IT or
Administration skills for Saint Mary of the Angels and Saint John of God

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Sunday’s GAA LOTTO:
1-3-19-24. The Jackpot of €3,600 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot will be
€3,650. The two €50 winners were: Michael A. Reidy, Kerryhead and Margaret
Guerin, Tiershanahan. The €25 winner was Michael Corridan, Keel.

SENIORS: The Ballyheigue senior hurlers defeated Crotta in a high scoring
Co. League game at Ballyduff on Friday evening, Score Ballyheigue 3-18 and

CUL CAMPS: The Kellogg’s GAA Cul Camp will take place at the John Joe
O’Sullivan Park, Ballyheigue from 18th to 22nd July.

MUNSTER FEILE: The Ballyheigue Under-14 hurlers took part in the Munster
Feile at Mallow on Saturday last. They were in a group with Ballinhassig,
Cork, Edenderry, Offaly and Whitehall Colmcille, Dublin. In the first
game they defeated Ballinhassig. Score Ballyheigue 3-7 and Ballinhassig
2-2. In the second game they came from fifteen points down at half-time
and played great hurling in the second half to win the game. Score
Ballyheigue 6-6 and Edenderry 6-4. In the third game they played Whitehall
and a win here would put them in the final. The Ballyheigue boys were
winning by two points with time almost up when The Dublin team scored a
goal in injury time to win the game by one point and put Ballyheigue out of
a place in the final. Score Ballyheigue 3-4 and Whitehall 4-2. It was a
great experience for the team to play against the top Clubs and they did
themselves and the Ballyheigue club proud. Panel: Dylan Casey, Aidan

FEILE PEIL NA nOg 2016: Ballyheigue extend a warm welcome to Grangemockler,
Ballyneale to Feile 2016. Games begin on Friday evening in Ardfert at 5pm
starting with Ballyheigue v Ardfert. Feile Parade in Tralee Saturday
evening meeting at Austin Stack’s Park at 6.15pm. Any juvenile member of
Ballyheigue Club is welcome to take part in the parade. Hope everyone has
an enjoyable and sporting week-end.

COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 13th June in
the Ballyheigue and District Coursing Club Lotto: 5-7-19-20. Jackpot was
not won. The €50 winner was Pat Flahive. The €25 winners were James
Nelan, C/o Christina; Stephen Flaherty and Aidan O’Mahony, C/o Macs. Next
week’s Jackpot €4,250.

COURSING MEETING: A meeting of Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club will
be held in the White Sands Hotel on Monday 27th June at 9.30pm. All
members are requested to attend.

COMMUNITY GAMES: Well done to all our Athletes who competed in the county
athletics recently. Unfortunately we did not receive any silverware but
everyone did really well. Congratulations to our very own Leanna Roche who
won the Long Puck for Ballyheigue. Leanna had come very close on the
previous year and her parents Nicholas and Cathriona were thrilled to be
bringing home another gold medal as Nicholas had won this event many years
ago. Leanna now goes on to represent Kerry in the All Ireland. Our 4 teams
will continue training for the Munsters in UL on July 2nd

CAUSEWAY CAMOGIE NEWS: Camogie training for U6, U8 & U10 girls every
Saturday morning at 10am. U12 training will take place on Wednesday’s at
6pm & Saturday mornings at 10am in the sports field Causeway. New players
are always welcome to come along and give it a go (helmet & hurley will be
provided). Also if you are interested in coaching or helping out with the
