BALLYHEIGUE COMMUNITY CENTRE: Ballyheigue Community Centre is seeking to
form a panel of relief bus drivers. If you have an up to date CPC card and
a full clean “D” driving licence and you can spare an hour – please call

BALLYHEIGUE COMMUNITY CENTRE: For a great night come along to Bingo in
Ballyheigue Community Centre every Thursday night @ 8:45pm. July and August
Bingo will be in our main hall @ 9pm. We are also looking for Volunteers to
help us with our Bingo nights. So if you have an hour to spare please

BALLYHEIGUE COMMUNITY CENTRE: A new joint initiative between Ballyheigue
Community Centre and Local Link Kerry called “Community Connect” has been
put in place.
This new initiative is a Public Bus (Local link Kerry) service to support
access for the local community in the Ballyheigue/Kerryhead and Causeway
area. This public bus service will also provide access for tourists to the
scenic Kerryhead coastal route of the Wild Atlantic Way throughout July and
August every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. This service will integrate
with the Bus Eireann schedule to Ballyheigue for July and August. Please

BALLYHEIGIUE HALF MARATHON RACE: Takes place on Saturday 17th June; we
would like to ask members of the community to be mindful of runners on the
roads from 11am to 2pm on the day. For more information please go to
CAMPA ÓG-ÓGRAS: Only a few places remaining on Campa Óg-Ógras Bhaile Uí
Thaidhg that will take place at Ballyheigue Community Centre between July
24th and 28th. This is a great opportunity for young people aged 7 to 12 to
enjoy a week of fun activities trí Ghaeilge. A trip to Cork will take

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Sunday’s GAA Lotto:
10-21-23-28. The Jackpot of €6,050 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot will
be €6,100. The two €50 winners were: Shane O’Halloran, Heirhhill and
Sinead O’Mahony Clahanebawn. The €25 winner was John Hayes, Tiduff.
UNDER 15: The Ballyheigue U-15 hurlers did the County proud at Mallow on
Saturday in the Munster Finals. They had a great victory over the Limerick
Champions. They lost out to Cork, Tipperary, Waterford and Clare
champions. Over all it was a great experience for the Ballyheigue players.
FÉILE: Please hand in the Féile envelopes to the Post Office before this
week-end. The Ballyheigue Féile team will travel to Kilkenny on Friday
morning. On Friday evening at 5pm they will play Glenmore (Kilkenny) and
at 6pm they will play Fingallians (Dublin) and on Saturday they will play
Dunnamaggin (Kilkenny). We hope they will represent the County with pride,
and that they will enjoy their week-end in Kilkenny.

Kilmoyley at John Joe O’Sullivan Park, Monday evening 7.00pm. North Kerry
U-13 Championship Ballyheigue v Lixnaw at John Joe O’Sullivan Park on
Tuesday evening 6.30pm.
POC FADA: Philip Lucid (senior) and Ricky Hussey (U-16)represented the Club
in the Poc Fada on Monday last at Kerryhead Mountain. Well done to
Ballyheigue’s Lisa Kearney who came second in the Under 16 Ladies, and also
to John Healy who came second in the Veterans Class.
GAA CÚL Camp: The Kellogs GAA Cúl Camp will be held at John Joe
O’Sullivan’s Park from July 17th to July 21st.
CAUSEWAY CAMOGIE CLUB: On behalf of Causeway Camogie Club we would like to
thank everyone most sincerely for support our Féile Fundraising efforts.
Without the support of the local businesses and the members of our
community this trip would not be possible. Thanks to our neighbouring
parishes that have always so generously supported Causeway Camogie down
through the years. Your generosity will not be forgotten. This year’s team
is made up of joint captains Katelyn Stack (Lixnaw) & Caitlin Guerin
(Causeway), team members from Lixnaw, Ballyduff, Ballyheigue & Causeway
making it very much a North Kerry team. Causeway winners of the County
Féile are based in Kilmacow, Co. Kilkenny. Their 1st match on Friday is
against Rathgarogue, Cushinstown, Wexford at 4pm and at 6.15pm they play
Kiltegan, Wicklow. On Saturday morning they play host club Kilmacow. 1/4
finals are fixed for 3pm, with semi-finals & finals fixed for Sunday. We
wish trainers & mentors Patrice Diggin, Michelle Costello, Danny Guerin,
Gina O’ Donoghue & the team a great weekend & the very best of luck.

Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto 1-20-22-24. Jackpot was not

CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION: Next Sunday, 18th June the Corpus Christi
Procession will leave from Our Lady’s well at 12.30pm and proceeds to the
Community Centre for Benediction. First Holy Communion children will have
pride of place in this public manifestation of our devotion to the
Eucharist. We warmly welcome Parishioners from our neighbouring Parishes
in The Naomi Brenan Pastoral Area to join us as we march with the Lord. We
thank people who prepare their homes so beautifully along the way.
