The Annual Trad-cum-Classical Concert in the White Sands Hotel on

Richard Casey, Trad. Composer & Performer,

Sonny Egan, Humorous Storyteller, and other Special Guest,

Some new young talents will also be staged on the night. The Event is grant

BALLYHEIGUE COMMUNITY CENTRE

Our LAUNDRY is now open every Saturday for July and August from 9.30am –
3.30pm.

Our GYM is open every Saturday for July to end of August from 9.30am – 1pm.

BINGO every Thursday night at 9pm in our main hall for July and August.

LOCAL LINK BUS: Our new Local Link Bus connecting Ballyheigue – Kerryhead –
Causeway is now up and running. Bus departs Ballyheigue Community Centre to
Kerryhead every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at – 10.30am/12.30pm/15.30pm
and 17.30pm. Bus departs Ballyheigue Community Centre for Causeway route –
11.30am and 16.30pm every Monday, Wednesday & Saturday. For further details

CYCLE AGAINST SUICIDE is coming back to Ballyheigue and they need your
help. On Friday & Saturday 18th & 19th August they are looking for
homestays. If you can offer bed and breakfast to one of our team or

PIETA HOUSE, SUICIDE & SELF-HARM CRISIS CENTRE: We provide a life-saving,
barrier free service to the people of Kerry who find themselves at raised
risk of suicide and self-harm. Personal and third party referrals are
accepted, meaning a GP or psychiatric referral is not required. Family
support is also available. All services are completely free of charge.

WATER SAFETY EXAMS: Congratulations and well done to the sixty five
students who all successfully passed their water safety exams in
Meenogahane last weekend. A great week was had by all despite some
inclement weather and rough sea conditions. A big thank you to their
fantastic instructors Jane, Ciarán, John and Veronica and Niall the
examiner. Thanks also to those who helped out in any way, it was much

DEATH: The death has occurred of Patrick Reidy, Tumnahulla, Corrandulla,
Co. Galway and formerly of Dirtane, Ballyheigue. Predeceased by his wife
Kitty. Deeply regretted by his wife Geraldine, son Padraig, daughter
Denise, daughter-in-law Julie, grandchildren, Geraldine’s sons Jonathan and
David, brothers Michael and Jer, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces,
nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Hartnett’s Funeral
Home, Ballyheigue on Friday evening 28th July. Reposing again at Lackagh
Mortuary Chapel on Saturday evening. Funeral arriving at Our Lady of Knock
Church, Lackagh on Sunday morning for Funeral Mass and burial afterwards in
Cregg Cemetery. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

COURSING LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn on Monday 23rd July in the
Ballyheigue & District Coursing Club Lotto: 10-18-19-23. Jackpot was not
won. The €50 winner was Seamus C/o Macs. The €25 winners were: Josie
Canty, C/o Christina, Aidan O’Mahony, C/o Macs and Donal Mulvihill, C/o
Christina. Next week’s Jackpot €7,100.

GAA LOTTO: The following numbers were drawn at last Sunday’s GAA Lotto:
11-14-15-23. The Jackpot of €6,400 was not won. Next week’s Jackpot will
be €6,450. The two €50 winners were: Anselum Boyle, Marian Park and Helen

UNDER 15s: The Ballyheigue U-15 hurlers had a great win over Abberdorney on
Tuesday evening in the North Kerry Championship: Team and scorers: Daniel

CAUSEWAY CAMOGIE CLUB: Causeway camogie club have added an extra night for
U12 training (girls born 2005, 2006, 2007). Camogie training will now take
place on Monday evenings from 6 to 7pm as well as Friday’s from 6.30 to
7.30pm. This will hopefully encourage more girls to come along and give
camogie a try during the summer holidays. Helmet & hurley will be provided.
