they regularly give Parish Missions around many of the Dioceses in Ireland.
It promises to be an uplifting weekend of prayer, reflection, restoration
and renewal for everyone, so please spread the word as everyone is most
warmly welcome. Please pray also that it will be a source of grace, joy
and hope for all our Parishioners.

PATTERN DAY MASS: We were blessed again this year with a wonderful
celebration of the Pattern Day Mass our thanks to the large crowds who came
to pray and to all who organized and assisted in such a professional
manner. May Our Lady be our strength as we face into autumn.

KERRY HOSPICE FOUNDATION: Many thanks to all who gave so generously to the
Pattern Day Hospice collection which raised €1,385-00 for our worthy Kerry
cause.

THRESHER THANKS: This year’s Pattern Festival was declared a great success
by everyone who attended the events. The steering committee wishes to
express its thanks to the musicians, singers and dancers who came and
performed so well. Puppet man Pat Power and piper Danny Houlihan brought
entertainment to the street, while others like Sonny Egan, who sang his
sincere tribute song in memory of the late Fr. Pat Moore, brought much joy
to the festivities inside the White Sands. John Lucid and Richard Casey
organised great session music and songs from traditional singers hushed the
banter of the moment.

Seán Quinlan, who opened the Diaspora Day, paid tribute to the creativity
and work ethic of members of the Irish and local Diaspora saying that the
voice of this exiled branch of the Irish race needs to be heard yet in our
national parliament. Exhibits from his museum were appreciated by the
patrons. The Song Seminar delivered by Peter Kelly was inspirational in the
way it illustrated the human sphere behind his gifted composing skills. One
of the highlights of the day was the interview by Tom Lawlor MC with Mr.
Willie Joe Casey. Fascinating details were revealed about the input of the
Irish into the development of the City of Chicago.

Mary Griffin brought a lovely homely taste to the food which was
distributed to all during the interlude.

THE PATTERN THRESHER CREST: was unveiled by Honorary President Sonny
O’Halloran

and worldwide patrons can now follow the Threshing Festival online by
